When my kids went to school in Japan, they had to participate in earthquake drills: get under the table, leave the building in an orderly fashion, move to an evacuation area, etc.
Now that my kids go to school in Israel, they have to participate in missile attack drills: evacuate the classroom, enter the bomb shelter or fortified rooms, etc.
It is sad that my kids need to go through these drills. It is sad that they have had to live in countries where they are not safe. Sometime I wish they would go to school in a country where children are safe.
