A poll published this morning shows that his popularity ratings in Israel are soaring. 47 percent believe his US trip was a success:
Nearly half of the public felt "pride" at seeing Netanyahu address the joint session of Congress on Tuesday, while only 5 percent deemed it a "missed opportunity."

Never mind substance or context, let alone any real progress towards solving the Israeli-Palestinian conundrum. Most Israelis seem more than happy to bask in a false perception of “national pride”, a (virtual) equivalent of collective oral gratification.
